An abandoned house, a psychotic killer, and a victim reaching out from the grave. A woman must unearth deadly family secrets before she becomes a ghost herself.
Madeline Anderson goes to Isabelle Island, Washington, to sell a family home abandoned over forty years before. Bizarre things occur the moment she steps on the property. Inside the dilapidated old house, items move about of their own accord. Strange noises come from empty rooms. She has a vivid, recurring dream of a woman running for her life. He’s certain Maddy is jumping at shadows because she heard the local kids call the house haunted. That is, until he witnesses horrific violence himself that he can't explain away. After Maddy’s life is threatened not once, but twice, Doug vows there will not be a third time.
EVIL DOES EXIST.
While searching for answers, Maddy uncovers astonishing secrets about her aunt's past. Finding more questions then answers, she digs deeper until she stumbles across evidence of a cold case involving a serial killer nicknamed The Seaside Strangler. Together, Doug and Maddy must unmask a killer. The lives they save just might be their own.

MacDonald's Top Ten Favorite Scary Movies
1) The Exorcist: 1973. Ellen Burstyn,
Linda Blair and Max Von Sydow. I can't help it but that movie still freaks me
out. Especially since they added the scene on the stairs. I couldn't even see
this movie when it came out because they rated it X.
2) Black Christmas: 1974. Margot Kidder, Olivia Hussey and John
Saxon. You have to see the original, the remake was horrible. The voice on the
phone will give you chills. Scared me so bad I wanted to leave after the first
murder but couldn't. My friend and I were seeing it at a drive-in theater
(shows how old I am) and when we tried
to leave, all the cars started honking at us, so we had to stay! LOL
3) Eyes of Laura Mars: 1978. Faye Dunaway
and Tommy Lee Jones. Best ad campaign ever! For months you would see ads, as
well as a bill board on Sunset Boulevard with just a set of eyes. No
explanation. As time went by the
billboard added 'Eyes of Laura Mars" but nothing else. Finally it finished
the ad when it was time for the movie to come out. Laura Mars sees through the killers eyes which
makes her blind to all that goes on around her. Very suspenseful. Love this
movie!
4) The Other: 1972. The stars are all Swedish even though the
film is American. It's about a good twin and an evil twin. Very Creepy. I highly recommend you look this one up.
5) The Omen: 1976. Gregory Peck and Lee
Remick. What can I say, this is a classic. At the time women were actually
naming their sons Damien. Who would do such a thing? Obviously the 1970's had
some good horror films! LOL. Of course, I was young and impressionable at the
time.
6) The Ring: 2002. Naomi Watts. Original concept. That
little girl was spooky!
7) The Grudge: 2004. Sarah Michelle Geller. Like The Ring, it's
a remake of a Japanese horror film. Another creepy scene on the stars.
8) The Shining: 1980. Jack Nicholsen and Shelly Duval.
Another Classic.
9) Nightmare on Elm Street
10) What
Lies Beneath: 2000. Harrison Ford and Michelle Pfeiffer. Not really scary,
but a good ghost mystery. The ending is classic Hitchcock.
I have to add one more thing to this list. The TV show, American Horror Story. I loved season
one. You definitely have to rent this! Talk about spooky!!!
