Celebrating Earth Day!

(my 6'3" son finds a tree worthy of a hug)

I sat here for quite a while trying to figure out what I could do as an author for Earth Day.

While I love holding a paperback in my hand and curling up somewhere to read,
I also love ebooks!  I have kindle on my phone now and being able to read anywhere
anytime is almost better than coffee!!!

To help celebrate Earth Day I have marked down two of my books at Amazon until
Monday!  While I don't control the prices for the rest, I did find a discounted price on
one site for Salvation.  For the Magic Seasons series that's out and the Hidden Senses Trilogy,
you will find them for a lower price on the publisher's site.

Go GREEN with an ebook today!

DREAMS for $3.99 at AMAZON

CURSES for $3.99 at AMAZON

I don't generally post about reviews, but I was so tickled
with what the reviewer at Books, Books and More Books
had to say I decided to share.

I have come to love all books by Jacqueline Paige.  She is definitely a new favorite author.  Her books are charming, intriguing, spicy (in all the right ways), and good reads.  When I started reading “The Solstice Heat” I hadn’t really paid attention to the fact that it was the second book in a series.  I’m due to review the first book on April 21, 2012, but probably should have reversed the order.  (It should be noted that these books were received from the publisher for review at no cost to the author… however, I would pay to read books by Jacqueline and I don’t say that about many writers… love free kindle books, but I digress).

This book stands alone, but will probably be even better if read within the series.  I was immediately drawn into the story.  How can you not want to read more when the first paragraph is:

Kasey checked her bag for the fourth time. What time were they supposed to be picking her up? She was tired from staying up all night working a spell. Nervous and scared about going to Solstice, where a killer was going to be, she glanced at the clock again and tried to exhale slowly.

I was hooked.  The book really drew me into the lives of these 8 friends who love and take care of each other.  The writing used such skill that it was easy to picture myself there in the story living beside these friends.  I continue to be impressed with Ms. Paige’s skill and weaving the characters and story together to paint such a wonderful picture. Come back next Saturday to hear about book 1 in this series.

I definitely give this story 5 out of 5 clouds.

Stop by Melissa's eclectic bookshelf on Monday for an interview and another review.

When did April get here?

I believe the title says it all.
What happened to January, February and March?

I'd love to say I slept through them and woke up
to spring, but sleep is probably the last thing on my list
of achievements.

With the move to a new place completed, I'd like to say
we're all settled in but we're not.  There are still boxes piled
in corners that I'm not quite sure what to do with and there
is still paint and renovation supplies sitting there awaiting our

Just after the move we had an opportunity to
manage a breakfast restaurant and not liking sleep or free-time
we took it on.  So I now work my usual too many hours managing
the cafe here at home and one day a week I go lend my expertise
and guidance to my husband with the restaurant.

Add that list to my writing list and life has been a bit of a blur.
At the end of January I posted my to-do list for my writing adventures
and I'm thrilled to say I have been completing that list despite the
rest of life demanding my attention.

Bewitching Book Tours has kept me on course with guest stops and
appearances all over the web and without them I would have been
just one more author with lost in the masses.

Edits have been completed for Harvest Dreams and it's May release is
a go!  The fourth book in the Magic Seasons series, Autumn Dance is
presently on my editors desk.   The fifth (and final for now) book in the
series is undergoing the pre-submission reads and proofing at this point.

Book two in the Hidden Senses Trilogy is with the editor now and is
right on track for the July release date.

I am half way through the re-writes for the first shifter trilogy book, Animal
Heart.  I did have to work on it when time allowed with so many other
impending deadlines approaching.  It's been quite the task to make the
changes without losing anything, but I know it will be even better once it's
finished and that's very exciting.

Where I have been recently:

Coming up:
April 13th: Author Spotlight

April 16th :Interview and review of From Beltane Magic

April 27th: Guest at Reviews by Molly

Shortly I'll be announcing a new contest coming up!
